The serving size on a package of hummus reads “2 TBSP”. That always makes me LOL. I eat 2 tbsp of hummus as the appetizer before I actually start eating hummus for real. Make some delicious homemade hummus with different creative flavorings and eat till you feel satisfied. Listen to your body not the label.

In his series, The Good Badlands, photographer Guy Tal seeks to show us that though it is often hidden, and may only appear briefly, there is delicate and subtle beauty in abundance for any viewer with patience and desire.

Palais Garnier (Paris Opera)

The Paris Opera, or Palais Garnier is probably the world’s most well known auditorium, featuring one of the most impressive architectural designs in the world. The Opera was part of a greater project: the reinvention of Paris, a project that was initiated by Emperor Napoleon III of the Second Empire. The opera has 2,200 seats and Baron Haussmann was chosen by the emperor to be in charge of the reconstruction. In 1861 there was an open competition and Charles Garnier won it. At that time he was 32 and he was an unknown architect. Even if the design of the building matched the emperor’s desire, the workers realized that the location the opera was supposed to be built on was kind of swampy, a subterranean lake flowed nearby.
